Simon's Teahouse
'Simon's Teahouse' is the first output of the project that SCEN Music Ambassador, Louise Rossiter is undertaking. Before travelling to China in May, Louise asked for contributions to the project in the form of the memories of people who have been to China in the past. These will eventually be used in the sound documentary that she is composing for SCEN.
One of the memories collected was that of Professor Simon Emmerson (De Montfort University) who travelled to Beijing a few years ago. When in Beijing, Louise tracked down the very same teahouse and recorded the sound both inside and out, whilst her travel companion and collaborator, Andrew Connor (University of Edinburgh) collected images of the same location.
