Scotland China Association Primary Schools Competition 2014

THE TOM MURRAY MEMORIAL PRIZE

THE CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE FOR SCOTLAND'S SCHOOLS

The aim of this competition is to stimulate interest in Chinese culture. The subject of the competition is: "FESTIVALS CELEBRATED IN CHINA"

Entries may be in the form of written work, two or three-dimensional artwork (up to A2 or 40 x 40 x 40 cm), video or DVD.

Categories

Age categories: P6-7, P4-5, P1-3,

Individual and group awards:

Group winners will receive a generous prize for the school library with individuals receiving mementoes.

The Tom Murray Memorial Prize will be awarded to the school with the best overall standard of entries.

Closing date for entries: 6th June 2014, to arrive 2nd - 6th June to be submitted to Leith Academy (City of Edinburgh Confucius Hub) Prize-giving: Saturday 21st June.

Venue to be the Leith Academy (City of Edinburgh Confucius Hub) All primary schools in Scotland will be contacted by email at the end of 2013.

Entries will be judged on 7th June. The judge's decision is final and results will be announced on 10th June by e-mail for the the prize giving at Leith Academy on the 21st. Schools are responsible for arranging the return of entries if required.

The SCA, The CISS or Leith Academy may wish to use photographs of the prize giving event to record and promote future competitions. Please advise us if you object.
