The SCCG Autumn Plenary on Thursday 16 September. It will be an in-person event (with Covid safety measures in place) at The City of Edinburgh Methodist Church in Edinburgh and will run from 11am - 12.45pm.
We’re really delighted that Wendy Alexander has agreed to be our speaker on the day. Wendy is Vice-Principal (International) at Dundee University, and leads the University's international strategy and engagement. She has a strong family history of involvement in China through the former Christian Medical Missionary Hospital in Shenyang and also family links with the SCCG. She is currently involved with a group setting up a permanent museum at the hospital in Shenyang.
The SCCG is engaged with heath and education work with Chinese partners, much of it pioneering in the fields of autism, school-age children with additional needs, dementia care and elderly care.
The schedule for the Plenary is:
1100 - Arrival & coffees
1115 - Welcome & summary update about SCCG work
1140 - Wendy Alexander: ‘From Shenyang to Scotland and Back: Connections Old and New’.
1220 - Q & A with Wendy
