The Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh

Ten years ago in June a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Beijing which led to the establishment of the Confucius Institute for Scotland in the University of Edinburgh.

To mark our tenth anniversary and the honour of being named as a Model Institute by Hanban, a programme of activities are being planned for Monday 19th September 2016.

In the run up to this we have been working hard, expanding from our base at Abden House into two refurbished, additional buildings on Dalkeith Road, which are adjacent to Abden House. The three buildings will form the Confucius Institute for Scotland Campus.

We invite you to come along for our Open House Afternoon on Mon 19 September between 2.30 and 4.30pm to help us celebrate our 10th Anniversary and our expansion.

We will have activities underway around the Campus. Whether you want to just come along to see the new campus or take part by learning some Tai Chi poses, discovering Chinese chess, trying your hand at calligraphy - or taking a selfie with the Panda mascots - you will be most welcome.

Chinese dumplings and tea will be served. As this is a family friendly event, please feel free to bring along family members and friends and please do spread the word!

We look forward seeing you at the Confucius Institute Campus, next Monday 19 September- just under a week from now!
