Chinese New Year Concert - SCIBC Heriot-Watt University
To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year 2024, the Scottish Confucius Institute for Business and Communication at Heriot-Watt University is planning to host a Chinese New Year Concert on 16 February 2024.
Experience the rich tapestry of Chinese culture at the unforgettable Chinese Folk Music Concert, brought to you by the talented musicians of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics!
Immerse yourself in a captivating evening filled with the mesmerising sounds of traditional Chinese instruments, as their skilled performers showcase their mastery in percussion ensembles, folk music ensembles, solos, and breathtaking repertoire featuring the melodic Chinese Zither, soulful Erhu, and the delicate Liuqin, Ruan and Sheng.
The music society was the winner of the National Gold Medal in the Fifth China's University Artistic Competition.
They had been invited to perform many times in Scotland, the UK and the US in the past 10 years.
Enjoy Chinese new year cultural experience: tea ceremony, calligraphy, Hongbao activities before the concert begins.
