Celebration of Chinese

Simon Macaulay is enormously busy preparing for the second Celebration of Chinese at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh on the morning of Tuesday 9 June. Young girls and boys from East Lothian Primary Schools will demonstrate their happy learning of Chinese as part of the SCEN Early Learning of Chinese Programme, which Simon leads.

The Theatre will be packed with Pupils, Parents, Teachers, Partners and wonderful Volunteers from the Edinburgh University Students' Association! It is a marvellous model and Midlothian schools are beginning their participation too.

You will all be involved in the enjoyment and hard work of the end of session. I hope all goes well. But you may be planning for the Autumn Term (don't think too hard about it yet), so in the SCEN News section are some vital SCEN events for your diaries. As you know, SCEN events are all free in terms of entry and refreshments; they book up enormously quickly! So if you want to reserve any places immediately, do not hesitate to email me. I shall remind you again in late August.
