天津财经大学民族乐团是在天津乃至全国非常优秀的民族乐团，乐团主要由天津财经大学具有民乐兴趣爱好的同学组成。近年来，乐团活跃于天津及全国的舞台上并斩获各类奖项，2018年获得全国大学生文艺展演比赛金奖。天财虹韵室内乐组合，作为优秀的室内乐团，多次代表天津财经大学赴海外举办音乐会，传播和发扬中国民族文化。

INTRODUCTION TO TUFE RAINBOW MUSICAL SOCIETY

The Rainbow Musical Society from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics (TUFE) is an excellent traditional Chinese orchestra. The Orchestra is mainly composed of students from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics who have interests in traditional music. In recent years, the orchestra has been active in the stage of Tianjin and the whole country and won various awards. In 2018, the orchestra won the gold medal in the National College Student Art Exhibition Competition. TUFE Rainbow Musical Society, as an excellent chamber music orchestra, has repeatedly represented Tianjin University of Finance and Economics to travel overseas and hold concerts, spreading and carrying forward Chinese culture.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

We are delighted to announce that the Rainbow Musical Society from Tianjin University of Finance and Economics will be presenting a Chinese instrument workshop, which is jointly hosted by Eric Liddell Centre and Scottish Confucius Institute for Business and Communication to celebrate the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Pig. The workshop involves instrument briefing, music performances, Q&A and interactive sections. Musicians will play a range of instruments including the Yuen, Sheng, Chinese Zither, Bamboo Flute, Pipa and Suona horn.

It promises to be an immersive music experience and we look forward to welcoming you to this event which is being held in Eric Liddell Centre.
