Special Guest Lecture on Chinese Language Teaching
Frances Christensen, General Manager of the Confucius Institute for Scotland, writes that we are fortunate that Dr Andreas Guder, who is based in Freie Universität, Berlin, where he is the Head of Chinese Language Study, is making a short visit to Edinburgh. Andreas also holds the post of Chairman of the Association of Chinese Teachers in German Speaking Countries (FaCh). He has agreed to offer a talk which should be of interest to all practitioners, Language Think Tank members and of course to many SCEN members .
His talk will consider four main topics
Chinese as a Foreign Language in Germany
Association of Chinese Teachers in German Speaking Countries (FaCh)
Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and HSK
European Benchmarks for the Chinese Language Project
The talk will take place on Tuesday 3 March 2015, 5.30 pm - 7.00 pm, followed by a networking drinks reception. The venue for the talk is the University of Edinburgh Business School, 29 Buccleuch Place, EH8 9JS.
